Marlon Allen joined Georgia Gwinnett College as the Director of Development for Athletics on October 27, 2025.
He is the first full-time staff member dedicated to fundraising and partnership initiatives to advance the Grizzlies’ athletic programs.
Before joining GGC, Allen built an accomplished career as a business development leader and entrepreneur, driving revenue growth and building strategic partnerships. His work has included developing innovative sponsorship programs, managing donor relations, and launching programs that connect athletics with the broader Gwinnett County community.
Allen graduated from Columbus State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer information management. He spent three years as a dual-sport athlete, playing both baseball and basketball for the Cougars.
A former professional baseball player with the Cincinnati Reds organization, Allen brings a lifelong passion for sports, teamwork, and leadership to his role. His focus is on creating opportunities that inspire generosity, strengthen GGC’s athletic legacy, and support the success of Grizzly student-athletes both on and off the field.
Allen and his wife, Tasha, have a son named Marlon, Jr. (MJ), a daughter named Sarah and a fur baby named Gigi.
