Kyle Norton was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities in Sept. 2019 after serving as Facilities and Grounds Manager for the Georgia Gwinnett College Athletics program.
Norton, who has been involved with Grizzly Athletics since 2012, was named Georgia Gwinnett College's Athletics Facilities and Grounds Manager in January 2016. He competed as a student-athlete for two seasons on the College's inaugural baseball team before becoming an assistant baseball coach in the fall of 2004.
Norton's facilities role is to assist the daily operations and maintenance of the Grizzly Athletics Complex, including the playing surfaces, stadiums, and Athletics building. He plays a key role in preserving the first-rate facilities that the Grizzlies call home.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Norton moved to the Gwinnett area before high school where he attended North Gwinnett High School (Ga.). He spent time at East Georgia State College before getting to Georgia Gwinnett. A President's List scholar in the classroom, Norton had the distinction of becoming GGC's first-ever Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete. He played in 103 games as an outfielder over two seasons in a Grizzly uniform and batted .408 for the GGC team that reached the 2014 Avista-NAIA World Series.
Norton also serves as an assistant baseball coach.
Hen earned his history degree from GGC in spring 2015 and lives in Gwinnett County with his wife Sarah.
