Melton, a 2019 GGC business administration in management graduate, was an infielder for the Grizzlies from 2016-19 and was a key contributor to teams that made the program’s first two appearances in the NAIA World Series. The 2019 team advanced to the semifinal round of the national tournament.

The Grovetown, Georgia, native joins the GGC Athletics staff after serving as assistant director of the Little League International’s Southeast region (Warner Robins, Georgia) since 2022. She was an NAIA Eligibility Center representative at the organization’s national office (Kansas City, Missouri) during the 2021-22 athletic season.

Melton’s experience also includes leading and mentoring a team of interns that efficiently managed registrations for American Junior Golf Association (Braselton, Georgia) tournaments, covering 560 junior golfers, in the fall of 2020, and being a tournament operations summer intern with Ripken Baseball (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina). Her career began as a volunteer assistant in softball and baseball at Paine College (Augusta, Georgia), leading gameday operations for both teams.

As a GGC softball player, Melton holds program career records for games played (233), games started (231) and at-bats (639), along with being tied for the record for runs scored (166) and triples (17). She stands second for career runs batted in (150), third in total bases (330), fourth in hits (211), and fifth in doubles (37) and home runs (16).

After GGC, Melton added a master of science degree in sport management from Liberty University (Virginia) in 2020.
