Brent Morris joined the Georgia Gwinnett College Office of Athletics as the head strength and conditioning coach in March 2025 after three years as the Assistant Director for Sports Performance at NCAA Division I USC Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
While at USC Upstate, he worked directly with women's soccer, softball and women's basketball. He assisted with men's basketball and baseball. He oversaw the graduate assistant programming for track and field, golf, men's soccer, and volleyball. During this time period, Morris helped lead women's soccer in a historical 2024 season to win its first ever regular season Big South championship, win its first ever Big South tournament championship, and its first ever NCAA tournament appearance. He also helped lead softball win the regular season championship, a Big South tournament championship, and a NCAA tournament appearance in 2024. Finally, he helped lead women's basketball to its first ever WNIT appearance in program history in the 2023-24 season. Morris was instrumental in developing a sports science sector for USC Upstate Sports Performance by introducing Hawkin Dynamic Force Plates, GPS monitoring, Timing Gates, and VBT.
Prior to USC Upstate, Morris served as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Liberty University working with six of the Flames' programs helping student-athletes return to form and excel following the COVID-19 pandemic. Following Liberty, where he earned his Master's in Sports Performance, he served at Amherst County High School (Virginia) as an assistant varsity soccer coach and sports performance coach.
Prior to his time at Liberty, Morrs spent three years in personal sports training and performance at D1 Training and various other private gyms in the Metro Atlanta. Within that time, he worked with Devin Vassell who would be selected 11th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Morris graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor of science degree in exercise science in 2016 and immediately spent the following 15 months as a strength and conditioning intern with the University of Georgia football program.
Morris resides in Metro Atlanta with his wife, Julienne and their dog, Polly.
