Paul Fletcher

Paul Fletcher joined the Georgia Gwinnett College baseball coaching staff for the 2022 season and assist with the pitching staff.

He is in his second season working at Roadrunner Baseball Travel organization coaching 12u and 16 u level teams. Fletcher has guided several players to receive scholarships. Along with his coaching duties, Fletcher gives private instruction and works with all players with recruiting process.

Fletcher has 23 years working professional baseball, serving as a scout with both amateur and professional coverage for several MLB clubs, including the San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, and Pittsburgh Pirates. He signed over 60 players to contracts and 16 have made it to MLB level.

He also has coached for over 12 years at MiLB levels and in Independent Frontier, Pioneer and Atlantic Leagues, where teams won three League Championships and produced 23 players who made it to MLB.

Fletcher played professional baseball as a left-handed pitcher for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox and Pirates along with two seasons in the independent Frontier League. He helped teams win two league titles, made three midseason All-Star teams, two end of season All-Star teams and one Relief Pitcher of the Year award for organization at Class A level.

He played college baseball at Dekalb C.C in Clarkston, Georgia. In two seasons Fletcher complied a 21-5 record and was named the 1989 State tournament MVP, All Region 6 Pitcher, and in 1990 played for Team USA traveled to Cuba to play tournament against other nations.

Fletcher played two seasons at University of Tennessee where he went 16-10 and won the Smithson Award as top pitcher, Chancellors Award for contributions to University of Tennessee. He was a second all-Southeastern Conference team selection and set season school record for wins, strikeouts and innings pitched.

He grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia where he played at Milton High School and was the North Georgia Pitcher of the Year in 1988 and was an all-state player. Fletcher currently resides in Alpharetta and has a son Braden who attends Louisiana State University.
