Chase Hodges established a dynasty with GGC men's and women's tennis by collecting 15 NAIA national championships and having the longest winning streak in collegiate sports history. Both programs won national titles in their first season of postseason eligibility in 2014 and men's tennis captured championships from 2014-22 and the women's tennis program won six straight titles from 2016-22.
During the 2019 campaign the men's tennis team won its 100th consecutive match in a 9-0 triumph against the University of Northwestern Ohio. Two years later the program took the top spot in collegiate sports history with its 138th consecutive triumph during a 5-0 victory against the University of the Cumberlands. The winning streak reached 173 straight matches.
He compiled a 377-22 record at the helm of both programs, including an outstanding 210-3 mark with the men's program. Overall, Hodges posted a 623-113 record in 21 seasons as a collegiate head coach.
