The Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team concluded its three-state four-match road swing with a 4-0 setback to Cumberland University on Tuesday afternoon in Lebanon, Tennessee.
The Phoenix (10-2-1; ranked No. 19) scored twice in each half.
Sophia Olivera found the back of the net once and provided an assist. She opened the scoring in the 17th minute after receiving a pass from Adelyn Drane. Later, Olivera created a scoring chance for Abigale Alexander to tally the fourth goal of the contest, taking place in the 73rd minute.
Cumberland took a 2-0 lead into halftime after Victoria Collins scored an unassisted goal in the 35th minute. An unassisted tally from Uxia Varela in the 59th minute gave the hosts a 3-0 advantage.
The Grizzlies (4-6-0; ranked No. 22) had consecutive shots turned away by Cumberland defenders in the 82nd minute. Senior

Overall, GGC outshot Cumberland by a 15-14 margin and attempted six of the seven corner kicks for the match. Sophomore

Alliyah Rosales each attempted two shots.
Five of GGC's six losses have come to nationally ranked teams.
Turning Point
Cumberland doubled its lead late in the first half on an unassisted goal by Victoria Collins. The goal in the 35th minute gave the Phoenix a 2-0 lead. The hosts would later score a third goal in the opening 15 minutes of the second half.
