Four different goal scorers paved the way as the No. 22-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team posted a 4-0 victory at Point University (Georgia) on Wednesday evening in West Point, Georgia, for the Grizzlies' first road win of the 2026 season.
Along the way, Head Coach
Dr. Mike Giuliano collected his 500th career collegiate coaching win. The four-time NAIA national champion head coach has recorded 102 of those wins during his 10 seasons leading the Grizzlies.
"It is a wonderful accomplishment. A milestone like this shows that I have been doing it a long time. I am appreciative of the past teams and student-athletes who have made this possible. One day this will all be over, so I am going to enjoy every moment," said Giuliano.
Sophomore
Alliyah Rosales scored a goal and provided an assist to lead the Grizzlies' balanced offensive attack. She opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finding the back of the net for the third time this season.
GGC (4-3-0) held the hosts without a shot in the first half and led 1-0 after the first 45 minutes. Sophomore
Barbora Kadlecova almost doubled GGC's lead in the final minute of the first half when her rebound shot struck the opposing crossbar.
The visitors turned up the offensive pressure in the second half, building a 2-0 lead in the 50th minute as junior
Nova Eskelinen tallied her first goal of the season. Rosales provided the assisting pass.
Later, junior
Andrea Cova scored her first goal of the season after receiving a pass from Kadlecova in the 66th minute, giving the team a 3-0 advantage. Freshman
Moa Koster rounded out the first-time goal scorers by registering an unassisted goal in the final minute of the match.
GGC outshot Point (4-3-0) by a commanding 22-4 margin, with nine shots bring on goal. Rosales led the team with four shot attempts, while sophomore
Hannah Lorenz and Kadlecova each had three shots. Senior

Kathrine Lindenberg joined Eskelinen in registering two shots apiece in the triumph.

Eva Norris made three saves in posting the shutout during her first career start.
Coach's Corner
"We are trying to find the best combinations for us. I really liked the second half. We tweaked the formation and played quickly. I was very satisfied. We came into this match having only scored two goals in the second half in matches this season. So, scoring three second-half goals today is very fulfilling," said Head Coach

Three players scored their first goals of the season in the second half as the Grizzlies built upon a 1-0 halftime advantage. Junior
