The Georgia Gwinnett College men's soccer team opens the 2026 season with its highest preseason ranking in program history, standing No. 5 in the NAIA national poll that was released on Wednesday, August 19.
The No. 5 ranking ties the highest ranking for the Grizzlies in any weekly NAIA poll during the program's 15-year history.
GGC is coming off a 13-3-4 season that featured a quarterfinal-round appearance in the 2025 NAIA national tournament. Ten starters return from last season's squad.
This season, the Grizzlies are scheduled to play four teams featured in the preseason poll, with three of them being top-15 opponents.
Georgia Gwinnett College begins the fall campaign Friday, August 21, against SCAD Savannah (Georgia) in Hardeeville, South Carolina, starting at 7 p.m.
