Kyle Haag has garnered the final Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week award for the 2026 season.
The right-hander was dominant in two relief appearances by tossing five hitless innings and striking out six opposing batters. Haag had three strikeouts in three innings against CAC opponent Fisher College (Massachusetts) last Saturday.
The Delaware, Ohio, native began the week with three strikeouts in two innings on the mound last Tuesday against Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina).
Hagg did not allow a run during either outing.
The freshman is the fourth different GGC pitcher to receive the league's weekly award this season.
Haag has a 2-0 record and 2.84 earned run average across 10 relief appearances. He has struck out 18 batters in 12.2 innings while opposing hitters have managed only a .200 batting average against him.
Georgia Gwinnett College (43-6) is the No. 1 seed in the five-team CAC Baseball Championship scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 29, at the Grizzly Baseball Complex. The Grizzlies will begin the double-elimination tournament that first day at 7 p.m. against the winner of No. 4 seed Simpson University (California) and No. 5 seed Carolina University (North Carolina) contest from earlier in the day.
