A strong 13-strikeout, three-hit performance had Georgia Gwinnett College junior
Peyton Castellow being named the Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
The left hander's gem came in a seven-inning scoreless outing against Point University (Georgia) last Saturday at the Grizzly Baseball Complex. It was his first win of the 2026 season.
Castellow put an exclamation point on the strong outing by striking out the side in the seventh inning. The Thurmont, Maryland, native, also recorded multiple strikeouts in three other innings.
This spring, Castellow has a 3.00 earned run average, recorded 20 strikeouts, and held opposing hitters to a .267 batting average.
The No. 2-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College (11-0) is scheduled to travel to Blue Mountain Christian University for a three-game series beginning on Friday, February 20, in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, starting at 5 p.m.
