Leading the No. 24-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College men's basketball team to a pair of victories in last weekend's Continental Athletic Conference Classic has led two Grizzlies to capturing the CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week awards.

Devontre Chaney collected the defensive honor.
Berry set two single-game school records by scoring 31 points and making eight 3-point field goals in last Saturday's 90-58 win against Haskell Indian Nations University (Kansas) in the CAC Classic in Temple Terrace, Florida. The guard averaged 23 points in two Classic victories, making 57.1 percent of his field goals.

The Clarksville, Tennessee, native scored 15 points in an 81-63 triumph last Friday against Washington Adventist University (Maryland). He went 11-of-20 (55 percent) from behind the 3-point arc over the two games.
On the season, Berry ranks third on the team at 12.8 points per contest and has made a team-high 58 3-point field goals. He has made 43.6 percent of his field goals and 41.7 percent of his 3-pointers.
Meanwhile, Chaney turned in a pair of double-double performances to average 14 points and 13.5 rebounds across the two victories. The Lake Wales, Florida, native began the CAC Classic with 16 points and 15 rebounds against Washington Adventist.
Chaney followed with 12 points and 12 rebounds against Haskell Indian Nations. The guard-forward also recorded 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals per outing during the weekend.

This winter Chaney leads the Grizzlies at 16.5 points and 10.4 rebounds, along with having 91 assists and 33 steals while starting all 17 games.
Georgia Gwinnett College (13-4) is scheduled to host the College of Coastal Georgia on Tuesday, January 13, in the Convocation Center, starting at 7 p.m. Then, the team hosts Johnson University (Tennessee) on Friday, January 16, also beginning at 7 p.m.
