The Georgia Gwinnett College baseball team scored seven runs in the sixth inning to rally for a 14-4 victory against Milligan University (Tennessee) on Tuesday afternoon at the Grizzly Baseball Complex.
The Grizzlies (38-4) plated five of those runs with two outs in that important sixth inning.
Trailing 4-2 entering the frame, senior
Scott Seeker lined a run-scoring single to right field to bring home
Alex Harrell with the tying run. Junior
Tyler M. Martin gave the Grizzlies a 5-4 lead with a bases-loaded infield single. That was followed by senior
Kyle Norton hitting a two-run single through the right side of the infield. A wild pitch and a successful double steal allowed two additional runs to score.
The momentum carried over into the seventh inning as Martin cleared the bases with a three-run double before Norton lined an RBI single to plate the team's 13th run of the contest. Senior
Jon Ponder added a run-scoring double to secure the 10-run margin of victory.

Earlier, senior
Paul Winland Jr. hit a run-scoring single to open the game's scoring in the third inning. Classmate
Matthew Lee tied the contest, at 2-2, with an infield RBI single in the fifth inning.
Milligan (25-19) took a 4-2 lead in the top of the sixth inning behind RBI doubles from Landon Lutterman and Angel Lobo.
Junior reliever
Jaxon Dennis struck out two batters across 1.1 scoreless innings to pick up his second victory of the season. Senior
Ben Harris had six strikeouts across 5.2 innings in the mid-week starting assignment.
Harrell led GGC's 15-hit offensive attack by going 4-for-5 and scoring a pair of runs. Senior
Jackson Cobb added three runs and Norton went 3-for-5 with three RBI.
