The Georgia Gwinnett College women's tennis team continued its recent strong play with a 4-0 victory Friday afternoon against Montreat College (North Carolina) at the GGC Tennis Facility.
The No. 2-ranked Grizzlies (8-1) won the doubles match point behind a pair of 6-1 victories on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts. The team featuring freshmen
Diana Ilie and
Elizabet Verizova was victorious at the top of the lineup. Another pairing of first-year players, with
Cherysh Henry and
MaryLove Edwards, picked up their first win as a duo this spring.
Ilie then clinched the home triumph by winning all 12 games on the No. 3 singles court.
GGC has swept its last four matches.
