The No. 1-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis team capped a perfect six-match home stand with a 5-0 sweep against Montreat College (North Carolina) on Friday afternoon at the GGC Tennis Facility.
GGC (11-0) won 12 of the 13 games to quickly secure the doubles point for the 1-0 lead in the match. Senior

Santiago Villarruel to win all six games at the top of the lineup. The duo of senior

Luis Francisco Sampedro was victorious by a 6-1 score on the No. 3 court.
The team's strong play carried over into singles. Kalinin gave the hosts a 2-0 lead after his opponent on the No. 1 court was forced to retire due to an injury. This came after the Grizzly player won the first set by a 6-2 score.
Villarruel, the NAIA's top-ranked singles player, won 12 of the 13 games on the No. 2 court.
GGC's last two points were scored by freshmen.
Mateo Larrea won all 12 games on the No. 5 court before
Gian Durrer had a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 6 singles.
