No. 2 Baseball Preparing for Challenging 2026 Schedule, Playing at Triple A Coolray Field

The Grizzlies begin the 2026 season at home on January 30-31
The No. 2-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College baseball team is set to host 28 games during the upcoming 2026 season, including a historic series at Minor League Baseball's Coolray Field in Gwinnett County, and play against four opponents from last season's NAIA tournament.

The Grizzlies, led by Head Coach Jeremy Sheetinger, are coming off 56-7 campaign that included the program's seventh straight Avista NAIA World Series appearance, advancing to the semifinal round of the 2025 finals in Lewiston, Idaho.

2026 SCHEDULE

GGC begins the spring season by hosting Midway University (Kentucky) and Rust College (Mississippi) on January 30-31 at the Grizzly Baseball Complex.

The team then travels to the University of Mobile (Alabama) for a four-game set on February 6-7. Later that month, the Grizzlies are scheduled to play their first midweek game of the season, facing No. 5 Tennessee Wesleyan University on February 24 in Lawrenceville. GGC is scheduled to travel to Tennessee Wesleyan on March 3.

The Grizzlies host Georgetown College (Kentucky) and Indiana Tech on March 6-7 before playing a three-game series March 13-14 against Montreat College (North Carolina) at Coolray Field, home of the Gwinnett Stripers, Triple A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.

GGC is scheduled to host a three-game series against Freed-Hardeman University (Tennessee) from March 20-21.

The team begins the final month of the regular season by hosting a three-game series against No. 18 Johnson University (Tennessee) on April 3-4. GGC also is scheduled to host Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Georgia) and Bryan College (Tennessee) in midweek games on March 31 and April 7, respectively.

Georgia Gwinnett College is scheduled to host a three-game series against Lindsey Wilson University (Kentucky) on April 17-18, a rematch from games at the Blue Raiders' home diamond on February 27-28.

The regular season concludes with a four-game series against Fisher College (Massachusetts) at NCAA Division I Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, on April 24-25.

The Grizzlies are scheduled to host the Continental Athletic Conference championship tournament on April 29 through May 2.
