The No. 24-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team registered three goals for the third consecutive match in defeating Brescia University (Kentucky) 3-0 in a neutral-site match at Cumberland University (Tennessee) on Sunday afternoon in Lebanon, Tennessee.
The Grizzlies (7-2-1) won all three road matches for the week, outscoring the opposition 9-1 in the process. The team scored a significant 3-0 victory against No. 8-ranked Cumberland on Saturday at Cumberland University.
GGC relied on a balanced offensive attack during Sunday's match.
Junior
Natalie Maguire found the back of the net in the 11th minute to open the scoring. She received a pass from classmate
Kendra Davis to score her sixth goal of the season.
Sophomore
Cecilie Povlsen scored her third goal of the weekend to extend the Grizzlies' lead to 2-0 during the 37th minute. Then, freshman
Stella Van Der Sluis weaved through Brescia's (2-4-0) defense to register a goal in the 75th minute to round out the scoring.

GGC also struck the opposing crossbar three times in the match, including twice during the second half.
The Grizzlies outshot Brescia by a 22-2 margin with junior
Grace Clark and Povlsen each tying for match-high honors after having three shot attempts apiece. Eleven different players registered a shot for the team in the victory.
Junior goalkeeper
Ayano Kurosawa stopped the lone Bearcat shot on goal in her 61 minutes of action. Freshman
Elle Sarter made her collegiate debut and had 29 scoreless minutes in goal to secure the team's fourth shutout of the 2024 season.

"We outscored two teams 6-0 and got two wins while playing back-to-back days. There were lots of things to be pleased about regarding this weekend and we had a productive week, with three road victories. Today was a character-defining win after using a lot of energy Saturday (in beating No. 8 Cumberland University 3-0)," said Head Coach
