The No. 10-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College softball team scored its most runs in an inning since an early February game to defeat Lindsey Wilson College (Kentucky) 9-0 in five innings Saturday afternoon to close out the regular season in Columbia, Kentucky.
The Blue Raiders and GGC split the doubleheader as the hosts won the opener 3-1 to capture two of the three games across the weekend series.
Junior
Lindzie Owen brought home a pair of runs with a single to give GGC an early 4-0 lead in the second game. Junior
Haley Robinson followed with a three-run home run to cap the seven-run second inning.
Freshman
Morgan McQuagge successfully stole home to open the scoring. Sophomore
Enna Lackey doubled GGC's lead with a run-scoring single.
GGC (26-15) added two more runs in the fourth inning, with Robinson and McQuagge collecting RBI singles.

Junior
Annalise Jarvis scattered three hits and tossed her seventh shutout of the season. She improved to 14-5 inside the pitching circle this season.
In Saturday's opener, Lindsey Wilson (22-22) pushed across single runs in the first two innings. Kelsie Bostock's infield single gave the Blue Raiders a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning.
The Grizzlies attempted a comeback as Owen collected a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning. However, Lindsey Wilson's Brylee Pickerell hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the frame to regain the team's two-run advantage, at 3-1.
GGC tallied 15 hits across Saturday's doubleheader, with nine hits coming in the productive second game. Robinson drove in four runs and went 2-for-3 at the plate. Junior

The Grizzlies' seven-run second inning was the most runs they have tallied in a frame since plating 10 runs against Taylor University (Indiana) in the season-opening weekend on February 10. Junior
