Visiting Reinhardt University (Georgia) scored in the 87th minute while converting one of its three shots on goal to defeat Georgia Gwinnett College 1-0 on Saturday evening in men's soccer action at the Grizzly Soccer Complex.
Rafael Pais drilled a shot from 10 yards away past diving GGC goalkeeper
Andreas von Muecke for the match's lone tally. Maxime Correia provided a crossing pass from the right edge of the 18-yard box that found Pais to score inside the right goal post for his third tally of the season.
Reinhardt (4-2-3) recorded its third shutout of the season as goalkeeper Elijah Clark made eight saves in Saturday's match.
GGC (4-2-3), ranked No. 12 in the NAIA Top 25 poll, controlled the match's statistics, with a 14-7 shot advantage and 6-4 edge in corner kicks. Senior
Emanuele Sordi registered five of the host's shots, while senior
Odin Solheim and junior
Rory O'Connor each had three shot attempts.

The Grizzles nearly broke the scoreless deadlock in the 74th minute when a flick shot from Solheim put the ball into the back of the net following a scramble in front of the Reinhardt goal. However, the play was deemed to be offsides, negating the goal from the scoreboard.
Earlier, Sordi struck the right goal post with a shot in the 14th minute.
Nine of GGC's 14 shots came in the second half.
"We just couldn't finish our chances when we needed to, and they did late in the match. We hit the post and the keeper made some big saves. They're a tough team to play against defensively. We did what we wanted with the ball for the most part tonight," said Head Coach
Steve DeCou.
Reinhardt took advantage of its limited shots on goal to score the only tally of the match in the 87th minute. The Grizzlies hit the opposing goal post in the 14th minute and an offsides call negated a potential goal during the 74th minute. The host was unable to find the back of the net on 14 shots registered in Saturday's match.
