Georgia Gwinnett College Head Baseball Coach
Jeremy Sheetinger is a member of the coaching staff that's helping to select the nation's best amateur players 18 years old and younger that will represent USA Baseball as it defends its title at the upcoming world championships in Taiwan.
Sheetinger is participating in USA Baseball's U18 team's training camp through August 26 in San Juan Capistrano, California. He will pass along baserunning skills to players while helping other coaches and staff with talent evaluation.

"This is an absolute honor and privilege to help serve on the 18U coaching staff at the USA Training Camp and help select this year's national team that will represent America on the international stage," said Sheetinger, who also served as a scout for USA Baseball's prospect development task force during the U17 East Championships in June. "Passing along baserunning techniques will, hopefully, propel this group of young players toward achieving their personal and team goals by winning the gold medal in Taiwan."
Sheetinger has guided the Grizzlies to a 170-36 record and three Avista NAIA World Series appearances in his four seasons in Lawrenceville. Two of his teams have amassed 50 or more victories in a season, with the 2021 team capturing the NAIA national championship.
USA 18U National Team Manager Michael Cuddyer, a 15-year Major League Baseball veteran, stated, "I am thrilled to have
Jeremy Sheetinger join the 18U national team training camp. His connection with the players, knowledge of the game and base running, along with his keen eye for evaluating talent, will provide tremendous value in the process of selecting the 2023 18U National Team."

USA Baseball National Team Director Brett Curll added, "We are extremely excited to have
Jeremy Sheetinger on our 18U National Team Training Camp coaching staff. Jeremy is extremely passionate about coaching the next generation of ballplayers and will be a great asset to USA Baseball as we select the 2023 18U National Team. His knowledge on baserunning combined with his passion for the game will aid our coaching staff as we prepare to defend our world title."
Sheetinger's coaching skills were utilized as a member of the Great Britain U23 team that placed second at the World Baseball Softball Confederation's European Championships in Austria earlier this month. That performance qualified the team to be a first-time competitor in the 2024 U23 World Cup Championship tournament.
