Scoring three second-half goals, the Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team pulled away for a 4-0 victory – its second straight triumph – against Point University (Georgia) on Wednesday evening in West Point, Georgia.
Senior
Kyara Armenta tallied two of the decisive goals in the second half, while freshman
Riko Yasuzawa accounted for a goal and an assist to spark GGC's strong offensive attack.
Yasuzawa opened the scoring by bending a right corner kick inside Point's right goal post in the 13th minute. It was her third goal of the season and second directly off a corner kick.
Senior

Two goals within a 30-second span came in the late stages of the match. Armenta scored for the second time Wednesday, this one coming in the 78th minute after receiving a pass from Yasuzawa.

Freshman
Caroline Andersen tallied her third goal of the season in the 79th minute to cap the team's scoring for the match.

"We got contributions from a lot of players tonight. It took us a while to find our offensive rhythm, but once we did it was good soccer. Now, we focus on closing out the regular season strong against a really good Bethel team Saturday," said Head Coach
Dr. Mike Giuliano.
