Former Georgia Gwinnett College men's soccer standout
Toni Tiente has signed a 25-day professional contract with Atlanta United 2 of the United Soccer League, according to a club announcement.
Tiente becomes the second GGC men's soccer player to sign with the Atlanta United organization. Jack Gurr signed with Atlanta United 2 in December 2019 before playing with the Major League Soccer club in 2020 and now playing with the Sacramento Republic in the USL.

"We're very excited for Toni. He's earned this opportunity with all the hours of hard work and dedication he's put into his game," said Georgia Gwinnett College Head Men's Soccer Coach
Steve DeCou.
Tiente was a midfielder for the Grizzlies from 2017-20, scoring 21 goals and providing 25 assists in 70 matches. He was a three-time NAIA All-American, highlighted by a first-team selection during the 2020 season, and twice honored as the Association of Independent Institutions (now the Continental Athletic Conference) Player of the Year in 2020 and 2019.
Born in Cameroon and raised in Paris, France, Tiente helped GGC advance to the quarterfinal round of the 2017 NAIA national tournament. He scored a key goal in the team's Round of 16 victory against Vanguard University (California) that season.
