The No. 11-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College baseball team closed out its road schedule with a 13-1 loss at No. 21 Middle Georgia State University on Tuesday afternoon in Cochran, Georgia.
The Grizzlies (31-12) will close out the regular season with nine straight home games before hosting the Continental Athletic Conference tournament May 7-9.
Middle Georgia State (25-15-1) scored three runs with two outs in the first inning before pushing across another run in the second inning. Then, Ryan Wilson gave the hosts a 9-0 advantage with a grand slam homer in the third inning.
The Knights outhit GGC by an 8-3 margin in the contest.

Georgia Gwinnett College is scheduled to host Columbia International University (South Carolina) on Friday, April 22, from the Grizzly Baseball Complex, starting at 6 p.m. The program will celebrate a Senior Day doubleheader on Saturday, April 23, at 2 p.m.
