The No. 1-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College women's tennis team swept through singles action in defeating No. 15 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) 8-1 on Monday afternoon at the GGC Tennis Facility.
The Grizzlies, still unbeaten at 7-0 for the 2019 season, won 72 of the 80 games across the six singles matches in the contest.
Victories by teams featuring senior
Henar Munoz and sophomore
Madeline Bosnjak, at No. 2 doubles, along with juniors
Debora Scurt and
Chiara Rebecchi, on the No. 3 court, gave the home team a 2-0 lead. Cumberlands (3-2) registered an 8-6 win on the No. 1 court for the Patriots' lone point of the match.
Three straight 6-0, 6-0 victories by junior
Gabrielle Robinson, freshman
Tereza Koplova and Rebecchi on the No. 4, 5 and 6 courts, respectively, secured GGC's victory.

Bosnjak remained undefeated in singles action this spring, winning 6-2, 6-0 on the No. 1 court. Munoz picked up a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 2 singles and senior
Maria Prados Cid rounded out the winners with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph on the No. 3 court.
The Grizzlies have won 14 straight matches dating back to last season.
