Box Score Georgia Gwinnett College junior left hander Hunter Peck allowed just one hit over seven innings to lead the Grizzlies' dominant pitching performance in Saturday's 4-1 victory at No. 15-ranked Middle Georgia State University.
The Grizzlies (25-4) broke a 1-1 tie behind a three-run sixth inning. A sacrifice fly from freshman Nick Barnes gave the visitors its first lead of the game. Junior Onassis Matos connected on a run-scoring double and junior Jordan Tylski later added a sacrifice fly in the frame to give the Grizzlies a 4-1 lead.
Junior Alex Garland hit his team-leading sixth home run of the season in the fourth inning to tie the game at 1-1. The lone hit by Middle Georgia State (24-11) against Peck was a solo home run in the first inning.

Georgia Gwinnett College broke the 1-1 tie behind a big sixth-inning offensive output. Senior Marcus McCorkle took third base on a stolen base to set up freshman Nick Barnes with the RBI opportunity. Barnes followed by a sacrifice fly and reached base when the ball was dropped in the outfield. Junior Onassis Matos brought home Barnes from first base with a double. Another sacrifice fly provided one more run for the Grizzlies.
