Men’s Soccer Loses Road Match at Bryan

The Georgia Gwinnett College men's soccer team could not overcome allowing an early goal in dropping a 1-0 decision at Bryan College (Tenn.) on Tuesday night.

Michael Torner converted a corner kick opportunity in the fourth minute of the match for the lone goal. Brad Spooner delivered the left corner kick to Torner for his first goal of the season.

The Grizzlies (4-5-1) nearly squared the match a few minutes later when a shot by sophomore Krishna Clarke from inside the 18-yard box was stopped by Bryan's goalkeeper.

Four of GGC's nine shots in the match were on goal. The team outshot Bryan (7-4-2), which managed to get eight shots, three of which made it to the goal area.

Turning Point
Bryan found the back of the net in the fourth minute of the match following one of its four corner kicks. Brad Spooner delivered a ball to the far post, where Michael Torner headed the ball into the net for the match's only goal.
