Box Score The Georgia Gwinnett women's soccer team's second road trip of the season came to a close on Sunday afternoon as the Grizzlies were shutout by No. 9 Keiser (Fla.) in a 5-0 loss.
"If you can be proud of a 5-0 loss, that's exactly what I am," stated GGC head coach Chris Kouns. "For the second weekend in-a-row, we faced sweltering South Florida heat and challenged two very competitive programs. We made five key mistakes in today's contest and Keiser took advantage of those opportunities."
Keiser (7-0) took a 3-0 lead into the intermission, seeing goals from Filippa Millqvist (2) and Renee Brown (1) in the first half of play.
The Seahawks added two insurance goals in the second half to solidify the 5-0 victory. Millqvist would score Keiser's fourth goal of the match in the 68th minute to collect a hat-trick in the contest while Brown tallied her second goal of the game in the 70th minute.
The Grizzlies (4-4-1) managed seven shots in the match, placing four on frame.
Georgia Gwinnett is back in action on Saturday when it faces off with No. 5 Mobile (Ala.). First touch from the Grizzly Soccer Complex is set for 5:00 p.m.
