The Georgia Gwinnett women’s soccer team reached the double-digit win mark for the second straight season with a 2-1 victory on Sunday at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga.

Senior Amanda Dale notched both GGC scores and set a team lead with eight goals for the season.

The Grizzlies have won six of their last seven games and are now 10-3-1 on the season. The program is 20-10-2 over its first two years.

“When you look at the possession we had and some of the chances we created, it was really some of the best soccer we’ve played all year,” said Grizzlies head coach Domenic Martelli of Sunday’s win. “I thought we moved the ball really well and we continue to improve as a team as the season goes on.”

Georgia Gwinnett finishes a five-game stretch against in-state opponents with a 4-1 mark, outscoring the opposition, 15-4.

The NCAA Division III Scotties Agnes Scott fell to 3-10 with the loss.

The Grizzlies have four games remaining in the regular season and are next in action Oct. 24 at home against Montreat with a 7 p.m. contest.
